This Privacy Policy explains how Evemiit collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you use the Studio at studio.evemiit.com. "Personal data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.

1. Data We Collect

Account data: name, email address, username, organization number, and (optionally) gender.
Event and meeting data: titles, schedules, descriptions, invitations, comments, reactions, attendance and engagement data.
Billing and payment data: subscription details, usage (viewer-minutes, track-minutes, VOD storage), invoices and payment provider references. Full card details are processed by our payment providers and are not stored by us.
Recordings and VOD: recordings you make of your events, stored per your retention settings.
Technical and usage data: IP address, device and browser information, logs, and diagnostics needed to operate the Service.

2. How We Use Personal Data

To provide, operate and improve the Studio (scheduling, streaming, recording, breakout rooms, billing).
To process payments, donations and payouts.
To communicate with you (service notices, billing, support).
To protect the security and integrity of the Service and prevent abuse.
To comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal Bases

We process personal data on the following bases: performance of our contract with you, your consent (where required), our legitimate interests (security, analytics, improving the Service), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Sharing and Sub-processors

We share data only with trusted service providers necessary to operate the Service, including hosting providers, live-streaming infrastructure (e.g. LiveKit), cloud storage (e.g. AWS S3), payment processors (e.g. Paystack, DodoPay) and email providers (e.g. Resend/SMTP). We do not sell your personal data.

5. End-to-End Encryption (E2EE)

Where E2EE is enabled for meetings, the encrypted media is not accessible to us. Only session metadata (e.g. participant identifiers, timing) is processed.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal and accounting obligations. Recordings are retained according to the retention policy you configure. You may request deletion of your account and data, subject to our legal obligations.

7. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us below.

9. Cookies and Local Storage

The Studio uses cookies and local storage for authentication, preferences and essential functionality. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

10. International Transfers

Data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards apply to such transfers.

11. Children

The Studio is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate consent from a parent or guardian.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will post the revised version with a new effective date.
